How long do permanent outdoor lights last? Do they burn out?
Quality permanent LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours. At a typical 6 hours per night, that is over 20 years of nightly use. LEDs do not "burn out" like incandescent filaments; they very slowly dim over decades, a process called lumen depreciation.
What actually fails (and how we protect against it)
When cheap outdoor LED products die early, it is almost never the diode. It is water intrusion, heat, and connector corrosion. That is why our bulbs sit in powder-coated aluminum track that shields wiring from UV and weather, with sealed locking connectors between runs and a waterproof control unit at the end of them.
The warranty that backs it up
